I know it's late in the year for apron tops... but you still get hot when you go to shows don't you? So you still need a new apron top, especially with New Year's coming up! So here is a sweet little top with a rust color corduroy lined bodice and a peace sign right on the front. The straps and bottom of the top are done in a fabulous "faux" patchwork which is made up of a bunch of super-cute earthy rust patches. I've been holding on to this fabric for three years, and I saved enough to make me something later! *heheh*

This is fun! This patchwork pixie cape is done up in a whole bunch of earthy calico cotton fabrics and corduroys. The entire thing is lined in unbleached muslin. All the patches are topstitched, so it really looks amazing. The neck is a nehru collar which closes with a sweet wooden button. Just right for wearing over your dresses and skirts.

Apron tops and summer go together like music and festivals. This top is made up of the prettiest leafy green fabrics I could find in my sewing stash. The top is a pretty floral green, and the rest is a jumble of lovely fabrics. I thought it pulled together very nicely. This top laces through three sets of loops.

This is my favorite top this time around. The bodice is made of the most amazing pinwale khaki corduroy... sooOOOoo soft. The fabrics all match in shades of tans, ivory, burgandy, and midnight blue. I appliqued several retro looking squares on the side and down the bottom of the top... very 50's inspired. The top laces through three sets of loops.

These style tops make great everyday wear, and fun for dancing, too. The 3/4 length sleeves look great with the lined, closed bodice. There is a sweet butterfly applique on the back. The skirt of the top is gathered, and made up of three calico patchwork, including a vegetable dye india print. There are ties in the back so you can cinch it down a bit.

You can never have too many apron tops. This is a scrap bag top, since I raided my scrap barrel for the fabric. Lots of burgandy calicos have been used, as well as a pinwale burgandy cord for the bodice. The straps lace up through three sets of loops, which give a slimming look.

The last wrap top was a hit, and I've had lots of requests for more. This one has cap sleeves, and is perfect for summer. The base is a burgandy calico with a yellow calico spiral sun applique on the back. The cap sleeves and tie are also in the yellow fabric. This is a super comfy style, and looks sweet with a skirt or jeans.p
